fitness habits to establish in your 20s

I know 20s is about living life to the fullest, doing crazy stuff but who said adapting to a healthy lifestyle is not cool in fact in the long run it will help you stay fit.
If you think about it, it makes sense. It takes time to truly adopt new habits so be smart to start building a sturdy foundation sooner rather than later.

These are some must have habits.

Good quality sleep: A recent survey conducted as part of the Gallup-Heathway’s well-being index found that about 42 percent of U.S. adults don’t get adequate amounts of sleep, and a growing body of research continues to link poor sleep habits with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and impaired immunity. The National Sleep Foundation suggests that adults ages 26 to 64 get seven to nine hours of sleep per night on a regular basis.

Drink more water: obvious right? But still most people don’t drink enough water hence leading to health problems such as low blood pressure, constipation, kidney problem, cardiac problems scary right why take that risk with life.

Healthy food: Long schedules, bad attitudes toward food can cause young women to be at the mercy of fast foods, fad diets and generally bad nutritional habits. Try including food that nurtures you, gives you energy, is rich in nutrients and are delicious. Have breakfast regularly and keep your dinner light and simple.
Strength training: if you’re going to follow one fitness habit let it be this one, strength training is good for overall health. It increases muscle mass, boost metabolism, torches calories, eases back pain, even helps keep diabetes away.

Do yoga: do it to improve postures of your body.
Hiking : it a powerful cardio workout. lowers heart diseases, improves blood sugar levels, boost bone density, improves balance, controls weight,
Boost your mood. "Research shows that hiking has a positive impact on combating the symptoms of stress and anxiety," says Gregory A. Miller, PhD, president of the American Hiking Society.
Rest day: yes you heard it right, please do not work out every single day of the week. Take one day off so that your body can rest and react to the fitness routine better.
Do it right: what ever exercise you do, do it right or else you will end up getting hurt.
Vary your exercises: try new things, each exercise brings different results if you do variety of exercises you will get wide variety of benefits.
Worm up and cool down is a must: 5 mins is enough for both worm up and cool down but you have to do it or else your muscles tighten up and you end up getting hurt.

Make it a part of your life: enjoy working out as much as you love eating pizza or burger because if you enjoy it today you will be able to do it for the rest of your life.
